Hello

My name is Leo and I am a Colombian-born artist based on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. 
I have been an artist for more than 20 years. In that time, I’ve been recognised in a number of art prizes including the Dobell Drawing Prize. 
Growing up in Colombia, I was always surrounded by animals. My mum and dad supported an animal shelter in my hometown and we cared for many abandoned dogs and cats in our home. I love animals of all shapes and sizes.
When my mum wasn’t looking after animals, she ran a hairdressing salon in our home. 
Hairloom Pet Portraits brings together my love of animals, my art and a long history of working with hair that began back in my mum’s salon.

I know the pain of losing a beloved pet and I am honoured to help create a keepsake for you to remember the loved ones that have left paw prints on your heart.
